I miss you guys, and must apologize for making such a hasty exit. I was overwhelmed and felt it best to go. I hope I didn't offend anyone.
It was so sweet seeing your little girl, and the gleam in your eye describing her inherent meter. I wish I could have heard her, they grow up so quickly.

Love your work, Danny. I'm enjoying getting to know you and your friends at the Saturday Market. Elvis has invited me to sing with him, as have a couple of your friends. One of my friends, Brian Jackson, and I have put together a thing and we'll be The Jackson Brothers, doing work from the early 60's on. I heard your "Angie" last weekend, tried it myself Sunday night at The Boiler Room , and wow, it was mine. Thanks for the vocal push. A good friend, James, had written a few songs years ago, I encouraged him to tape them, and yesterday he sold his 2 songs and will be on internet TV next week. I don't care what "they" say, it's a great time right now in America, and Portland's a launching pad, it seems. So, a good-ol boy from the South named Michael Jackson is going to show them that an old fellow can make it in the business. Thanks for putting out what's in your soul, it made me reach for mine, and find it.

I'm just one of hundreds of musicians who have had the pleasure of jamming or performing with Danny Hay Davis over the past few years, and it has been a total joy to do it.
At least two actual, legitimate studies have shown that Portland, Oregon has more outstanding, world-class musicians per capita than any other city in North America (and probably the world). The majority of them seldom perform anymore, in public. That's why the local jam sessions are so important. If you are a musician who ought to be getting up with a band and letting it out...go to one of DHD's jams and take the leap. It only takes one time to get back in the groove (or to GET in the groove in the first place.)
I urge you and all of your friends and families to make it a point to support the outstanding local musicians in the Portland-Vancouver area by attending their performances and participating in the many jam sessions held all over the region.
Danny Hay Davis and Fenix Sanders - together with the top-notch musicians they work with - will welcome you anytime, any place they perform. And the jams they operate are probably the most fun you can have, musically speaking, whether you are there to perform, to dance or to just listen.
Any time go out to see that band, you are doing yourself a favor; they are terrific musicians and the band is hot!
Watch the crowd...there are always more smiles going on than almost any other activity you can name. And, DHD is a master at bringing out the smiles in the guests and the participants. He is a showman.
